Accurate physical camera lens alignment is necessary to capture full-view driving records and ensure that your collision coordinate telemetry maps correctly to the road ahead. Follow this guide using the app's calibration tool:
Step-by-Step Lens Calibration Guide
Access the Context Options: Ensure your phone is connected to the camera's Wi-Fi. On the SAFY App Home page, tap the Hamburger icon (three lines) in the top-right corner of your connected camera card.
Launch the Setup Assistant: Tap Beginner's guide. Once the guide initiates, tap Next.
Verify Camera LED Statuses: Tap Next again to view the on-screen LED status dashboard, confirming your camera behaves correctly:
- 🔴 Solid Red: Recording error
- 🟢 Solid Green: Normal recording
- 🔵 Solid Blue: Recording mode off
Calibrate with Auxiliary Lines: Tap Next to open the live adjustment window. The dashed auxiliary lines are displayed automatically. Use the dashed lines on your live view to position your camera:
- Horizontal Vanishing Line (Horizon Line): Gently pivot your camera lens vertically until this line directly aligns with the natural horizon of the road.
- Front Middle Line (Vertical Center Line): Align this vertical line with the precise center line of your vehicle's hood.
Lock and Complete Calibration: Once your camera matches both guidelines, tap the orange Calibration Done button, then tap Finish. You will be directed to the live view page.
