When your BlackVue app and phone are connected but you’re not receiving SMS or push alerts, you can solve it quickly:
App Permissions
Go to your phone settings, find the BlackVue app, and make sure both notifications and SMS permissions are enabled.Note: Screenshots in this guide are based on the BlackVue app and may vary slightly depending on your camera model or app.
For Android Phones
Settings > Apps > BlackVue or Fleeta >
- Notifications > Allow Notifications button toggled to the right
- Permissions > Allowed (Notifications)
For iPhones
Settings > Apps > BlackVue or Fleeta > Notifications > Allow Notifications button toggled to the right
- Connection Check
Unstable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth may block alerts. Disconnect and reconnect if needed. - Notification Settings in App
Inside the BlackVue app, check that “Push Notifications" options are on. We have the main on/off notification button and the individual camera's specific notifications.
NOTIFICATION RECEIPT ON/OFF FOR ALL CAMERAS
- If this button is set to OFF, all specific notification settings for all the cameras added in the same account will be overridden and be all activated. No notifications will be received.
Account > Bell icon on the top right > Gear icon on the top right > Push notification (On or Off)
NOTIFICATION SETTINGS FOR INDIVIDUAL CAMERA
- Each Cloud-enabled camera has its own notification settings. The user can choose which particular notifications they want to receive from the list of camera functions.
Notifications > Gear Icon (Top right corner) > Push Notifications > Push Notification button toggled to the right
Note: In some countries or with certain mobile providers, SMS notifications may not be supported. If notifications still do not arrive, our customer support team is ready to help.
