Having trouble pairing or maintaining a Bluetooth connection with your BlackVue dashcam or battery accessory? Use this practical guide to ensure successful pairing and easy resolution of the most common Bluetooth problems.
Note: Screenshots in this guide are based on the BlackVue app and may vary slightly depending on your camera model or app.
1. How to pair via Bluetooth
For BlackVue Battery (B-124X, B-130X, etc.)
- Power on the battery and ensure Bluetooth is enabled
- Check the indicator lights—status LEDs should be on.
- Open the BlackVue Battery app
- Download from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store if you haven’t already.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone
- Go to your phone’s settings and turn on Bluetooth.
- Scan for available devices within the app
- Tap ‘Pair Battery’ or ‘Search for Devices.’
- Select your battery from the list
- The battery’s Bluetooth name usually matches the model or serial number.
- Pair and confirm
- The status in the app should change to “Connected.”
- Battery information should start displaying in the app.
Connecting Directly to the Battery to Check Battery Information
- Tap Battery button. The app will search for the battery's Bluetooth ID.
- Select the battery based on the Bluetooth ID to check information such as charge level, charging voltage, output voltage, etc.
Pairing Battery to a Dashcam (Cloud Battery) for Remote Access
NOTE: The battery can be paired with either a WiFi camera or a Cloud camera.
- Tap Battery Pairing button then OK. The app will search for the battery's Bluetooth ID.
- Select the battery based on the Bluetooth ID then press OK.
- Tap Continue button to finalize registration. You will see the battery level charge from the Cameras tab view.
For dashcams or other accessories with Bluetooth
- The dashcam uses the Bluetooth during camera registration via Seamless Pairing.
- Later, you can deactivate and reactivate the Seamless Paring by accessing Camera Settings > Connectivity > Seamless Pairing. Do not forget to save changes made to the settings.
2. Troubleshooting common Bluetooth issues

Note:
Third-party battery packs (e.g., Cellink) may appear on the battery list when adding a BlackVue battery. However, such batteries are not supported for BlackVue Cloud battery monitoring.
