Dashcam automatically adjusts how it records based on the vehicle’s status—driving or parked.
This section explains how different recording modes work and what kind of footage is saved in each situation.
- Normal Mode: Records continuously while the vehicle is running.
Useful for capturing everything during daily driving. - Parking Mode: Activates when the vehicle is turned off or stationary for a few minutes. Helps protect your car while parked by capturing motion or impacts.
You can configure how the dashcam behaves in each mode, and set protection rules to prevent battery drain.
To access these settings, go to:
More (⋯) > Camera Settings > Recording Mode
Normal Mode

- ON (Default): Continuously records while driving.
- OFF: Records only Event videos (impact detected) while driving.

(Available only when hardwired / ACC connected)

Parking Mode Recording
-
ON: The dashcam switches to Parking Mode when the vehicle is turned off or remains stationary for 5 minutes. You can choose between two recording types:
-
Time Lapse (Default): Records continuously and saves 30 minutes of real-time footage into a 1-minute video.
-
Motion Detection: Records only when movement is detected.
You can adjust motion detection sensitivity and select specific areas to monitor.
Impact events are always saved as Event videos in both modes.
-
-
OFF: The dashcam does not record while parked.
-
-
Rear Camera Recording (Parking Mode only): Choose whether to record the rear camera while parked.
- Battery Protection
Protects your car battery while the dashcam is in Parking Mode.
-
- Battery Protection does not affect Normal Mode operation.
You can set two protection methods:
-
- Low Voltage Cut-off
- The dashcam powers off if the battery drops below the set voltage.
- Default values: Passenger Vehicle: 12.0V / Heavy Vehicle: 23.2V
- Tip: Set to 12V or higher in winter for battery safety.
- Cut-off Timer
- Automatically powers off the dashcam after the set time in Parking Mode.
- Low Voltage Cut-off
