Geofence alerts: monitoring by area or route
Geofencing lets you define custom zones on a map; receive alerts when vehicles enter, exit, or pass through them.
Note: Geofence feature is only available for Fleet Plan users via Fleeta app or Fleeta Web Viewer.
How to set up geofence alerts (Fleeta Web Viewer Only)
- In the Fleeta Web Viewer, go to the Geofences menu.
- Click + Add Geofence.
- Draw a zone using polygon, rectangle, ellipse, or polyline (for routes).
- Set these options:
- Zone name, color, and opacity.
- Assign the cameras for which alerts apply.
- Choose alert triggers (entry, exit, both).
- Optionally, set speed limits and enable speed alerts.
- Enable push or email notifications for geofence events in camera notification settings.
Managing and editing zones
- You can register up to 20 zones per account.
- Zones can be resized, renamed, recolored, and cameras reassigned at any time.
- Edit zone details for overlapping geofences to set speed prioritization.
GPS tracking: real-time location and route history
GPS tracking allows full visibility and historical playback of fleet vehicles on an interactive map.
