The SAFY8 features high-performance dual-channel recording to provide clear, reliable evidence of your journeys:
- Front Camera: Captures sharp 2K QHD (2560x1440) @ 30fps video using a bright f/1.8 aperture lens for excellent low-light performance.
- Rear Camera: Captures Full HD (1920x1080) @ 25fps video.
- Power Supply: Relies on a durable supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, allowing it to safely operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C.
Button Operations
- Powering On/Off: Press and hold the POWER button on the side of the front camera for 3 seconds.
- LCD Screen Control: Press the POWER button once quickly to toggle the 3.2-inch display on or off.
- Menu Navigation: Use the 4 LCD control buttons located below the screen to navigate settings and review footage directly on the device.
Understanding the LED Indicator Light
The LED indicator on your front camera communicates your dashcam's status at a glance:
- 🟢 Solid Green: Normal recording mode or active Parking Mode.
- 🟢 Fast Flashing Green: Emergency event recording has been triggered (collision/impact detected).
- 🔴 Solid Red: Not recording. This indicates a microSD card error or that the card has been removed.
- 🔵 Solid Blue: Recording is temporarily paused because you are actively viewing files via the mobile app.
- 🔵 Fast Flashing Blue: MicroSD card formatting or a factory reset is currently in progress.
How Much Video Can My microSD Card Hold?
Using the included 64GB microSD card, you can expect the following continuous recording times before the oldest footage is automatically overwritten:
- Normal Driving Mode (Dual-Channel): Approximately 136 minutes.
- Parking Mode (Dual-Channel): Approximately 44 minutes.
