Adding and removing dashcams from your BlackVue account is straightforward and gives you control over your fleet, family, or personal devices. Use these instructions to securely register a new camera, remove an old one, and manage your camera list with confidence.

How to add a camera to your account
1. Prepare your dashcam for registration
- Ensure your dashcam is powered on and properly installed.
- Check that the latest firmware is installed for full compatibility.
- The camera’s serial number and QR code should be visible on the device (usually on a sticker on the front camera).
2. Open the BlackVue app
- Launch the app and log in with your registered account (email/Google/Apple ID).
3. Access the camera registration section
- On the Cameras tab, tap on the “+ Camera” button.
- Allow Bluetooth and location access permissions
4. Register your camera
By Seamless Pairing:
Select the camera from the list
Touch the camera's touch sensor to continue the registration.
By QR code:
Choose the QR Code option to register your camera.Allow the app to have access to the camera.
Use your smartphone to scan the QR code on your dashcam when prompted.
Manual (Wi-Fi) registration:
Go to your phone's settings and then WiFi.Select the camera's WiFi SSID from the list and enter the password.
Once connected, go back to the app and continue the registration.
- Assign a nickname and, if prompted, set a profile image for easier identification.
- For Cloud-capable models:
- Ensure the camera is connected to a Wi-Fi hot spot or has an LTE SIM card inserted for seamless registration.
- Wait for confirmation that the camera is now Cloud-connected.
5. Confirm and finish
- The newly added camera should now appear in your camera list in the Cameras tab.
- Review basic settings like location, time zone, and Cloud features.
- Your device is now ready for video playback, live view, event alerts, and remote access.
How to remove a camera from your account
- Open the BlackVue app and log in.
- Navigate to “My Cameras” or the “Camera List.”
- Find the camera you want to remove and tap its details/profile.
- Tap the “Remove from Cloud,” “Delete Camera,” or trash/bin icon (label may vary by app version).
- Confirm by following the prompts.
- Removing a camera will free up a Cloud slot for another device.
- Any Cloud-stored video, notifications, or routes for this camera will be deleted unless backed up.
*If the camera is being transferred to a new owner, advise them to register it under their own account after removal.
Troubleshooting registration issues
