Placement of IR camera

From a security point of view, placing the interior facing IR camera just about any along the top of the windshield would allow for any thief to block the camera by deploying the sun visor. In my case there is a ceiling mounted console that folds down for glasses and such. Anyone have good success with placement elsewhere? TIA

  I mounted mine in the passenger upper window corner.   My thief's are hot and run and interested in the center console and anything left laying looses in your car.  By the time they see the interior camera hopefully, their face will already be captured, recorded and sent to the cloud.  With the box version and the little extra security features on the camara and the hidden recording unit may just be enough to frustrate them to move on.
